# Design Round 5 — All Four Surfaces, Cast with the Launch Cohort
**The prompt Moto runs in Claude Design · 2026-07-09 · spec v5.0**

---

You are designing Round 5 for the Kidunaverse — the agentic internet built by Kinship Duna. Rounds 1–4 designed the mobile conversation (Chat), the web money surface, and Kidunaversity. **Round 5 designs all four products as one system, for an MVP as soon as possible**, and it is cast with real people: the launch cohort of Catalysts and Luminaries who start within Kiduna Club.

## Inputs (in the attached zip)

- **The Core Team Package v5.0** — the complete spec. Read `START-HERE.md`, then `surfaces.md` (Track 1 — the four products; your brief in spec form), `integrations.md`, `institutions.md`, `roles.md` §1 (the cohort), `organizations.md` §2 (their dunas), `legal.md` (binding copy rules), `sentinel.md` (what must never be rendered).
- **Design rounds R2–R4** — in force where not superseded. R3/R4 Chat, voice, money surface, and Kidunaversity survive; extend, don't rebuild.
- **`_ds/…/colors_and_type.css`** — binding for every pixel: espresso ground, Avenir body, Goudy Heavyface display, IBM Plex Sans callouts, sky = touchable, gold = signature. Carry `_ds` into your output.
- **`app.html` (the old Studio prototype)** — study it as the *anti-pattern*: views, tabs, forms, one feature per screen. Studio's redesign must kill this shape: it becomes one conversation with your ally over a live workspace (Cowork/Codex posture), where dropped-in material organizes itself and actions surface in the chat.
- **Tile specs** (backgrounds, events, sprites) — the substrate for Move.

## The cast — design with these people, never with placeholders

Moto (founder, Kinship Duna) is inviting, one by one, into Kiduna Club: **Dave & Susan Thompson** (The Fellowship of Play) · **Crystal Stone & Rob Dobson** (Mountain River Trail) · **Matt Simon** (Service Alliance) · **Stacey Toy** (Fanduna) · **Trevor Fitzgibbon** (Agency) · **Lester Firstenberger** (Contraction/It's the Law · Freehold Finance) · **Paul Levine & Dave Didden** (BiHome/Inner Clinic) · **Marie Uehling** (EP Rising) — and Luminaries **Howard Teich** (Cosmic Humanity · Vibe Coast), **Four Arrows** (Indigenous Revival), **Renée Smith** (Mapshifting), **Mama Ayo** (Black Love). Each holds a seat in one duna and participates in others. Every screen you draw should show one of them doing something real.

## Deliverable 1 — The cohort journey (the through-line)

Follow **three people in depth** — recommend Crystal Stone (Mountain River Trail, non-technical), Lester Firstenberger (two dunas, professional practice), and Howard Teich (Luminary, two placements) — with the rest as one-panel vignettes. Design every beat:

1. **The invitation.** Moto extends a Kinship Code to Crystal — it travels as a link over email/text. What does she see *before* she has an account? (The code carries issuer, scope, and registry claims; render what it proves, nothing more.)
2. **Onboarding at kidunaverse.com.** Account, wallet creation, naming her ally — and the **$100 step with exactly three options**: (a) Stripe headless onramp (card → USDC, no crypto knowledge), (b) connect a Solana wallet and transfer 100 USDC, (c) copy the new wallet's address and send USDC from anywhere. Design all three paths and the moment the pending/complete state returns her to the flow. Money vocabulary is legally binding (below).
3. **First Chat.** Kiduna app, grounded in Kiduna Club: her ally introduces itself, the cohort context is already warm (Moto's relationship grant), and the **relationship design moment** happens conversationally — what she shares with Moto, what Moto shares with her, each side stated in a sentence and shown on the relationship card. Canon: between two people it is a **relationship**, never a "connection."
4. **The first collaboration in Studio.** Moto and Lester building Contraction's context together: dropped-in documents self-organizing, a skill shared and modified, the alliance container giving the conversation its scope — and the **ally back-channel** made visible (Lester's ally and Moto's ally negotiating a working session, each within its grants).
5. **First entry into Move.** A portal from Chat into Kiduna Club's space: the cohort visible as allies moving, a gathering with a purpose, Kidunaversity's university on the horizon.
6. **The web through Express.** Matt Simon registers servicealliance.org (one DNS TXT line, guided by his ally); pages and accounts render **registered / unregistered — "a stranger, not a threat"**; his registered Bluesky account posts through his ally, and another member's ally uses those posts as context.

## Deliverable 2 — Move (its first real design round)

Move is the isometric rendering of the same Kidunaverse — a second UX, not a game bolted on. The member still only converses with their ally, **but steers**, and can *watch* ally↔ally and ally↔actor interactions happen. Design: the HUD and menus (in `_ds` grammar — what does "sky = touchable" mean on an isometric ground?); contextual actions while moving; goals and scoring inside Games (sim-flagged; Kidunaversity first; practice currency named in-fiction); moving things between wallets as a *spatial* act whose real version still authorizes on the web; the tile/sprite/event vocabulary from the tile specs; and — crucial — **the generative fallback**: where finished art doesn't exist, the models render a bounded room ("you're in a room with four others; the far two are in conversation") — design what model-generated space looks like so it's legible and honest next to authored art. Gold grammar holds everywhere: gold marks signed acts only; what happens to you is announced by light; no meters, no leaderboards, ever.

## Deliverable 3 — Studio, redesigned

Kill the segmented prototype. Studio is a desktop app (mac/Windows/Linux/Chromebook) with the Cowork/Codex posture: **one conversation with your ally over a live workspace.** Design: the container spine (this conversation is happening *inside* a relationship / guild / alliance / organization — how the container is always legible and switchable without tabs); **the relationship design surface** (both sides' grants and textures, stated in prose, rendered as the two-sided card); deep collaboration (two people co-editing a skill; a knowledge base connected across an alliance; one person on sound, another on art); the ally back-channel view (conversations your ally is having on your behalf — Bluesky, Telegram, direct ally↔ally — inspectable like the Vigil); and the tool room (attaching an MCP server scoped to an alliance; handing work to Claude Code / Codex on the local machine and receiving it back).

## Deliverable 4 — kidunaverse.com (the account) and the protocol browser

Not an application — the account: login, credentials, wallets, Compute (buy/sell), settings and permissions, Institution accounts, links to every product, public metrics of the decentralized Kidunaverse. Its centerpiece is **the protocol browser**: the audit trail, navigable — walk from an organization to a proposal to its command receipt to settlement; from a member to their registered artifacts; access-scoped at every step (you browse exactly what your levels and memberships allow). Design it as an instrument of trust, not an admin panel.

## Deliverable 5 — the MVP cut

Mark every screen **MVP** or **post-MVP**, and close with a one-page proposal: the minimum coherent slice across all four surfaces that lets Moto run the cohort journey end to end (invite → onboard → Chat → one Studio collaboration → one Move gathering → one Express registration) — with everything else deferred. Be ruthless; the date is soon.

## Law (violations are bugs, not opinions)

- **Vocabulary:** Compute (never "compute currencies") · Forums (never markets) · **Chat and Move** (never "Reality") · Games (sim-flagged; Kidunaversity first) · relationship between two people (never "connection") · registered / unregistered (never "trusted," never "accountable" as artifact verdicts) · members, never users · Guilds (no wallet) / Alliances (Squads wallet) / Organizations (DUNAs) / Institutions (no vote).
- **Money copy is legally binding:** Compute is **"prepaid usage credits that power intelligent agents."** Never: investment, appreciation, ROI, passive income, "buy before the price goes up," early investors, financial upside. Founder is recognition only. No earnings claims anywhere. Every engagement is "an independent commercial agreement."
- **The gold ceremony (stamp, embers, haptic) marks signed acts and nothing else, forever;** promotions and milestones are announced by light. Press-and-hold is the signature everywhere; its practice version lives only inside Kidunaversity.
- **Never render:** HEARTS, meters, scores, interaction-health dashboards, balances as standing, leaderboards. The Sentinel is visible only as effects and plain sentences.
- **Receipts:** any proposal shown carries its machine-generated sentence over its command.
- Examples only from the real dunas and the real cohort. All money authorization on the web. Deciding is never fundraising.

## Output format

A single folder `design-r5/` in a zip: `MANIFEST.md` (inventory + how to read the round) · `UX-SPEC-R5.md` (the composed model across all four surfaces) · `.dc.html` canvases (mobile 390×844 for Kiduna; desktop 1440 for Studio, kidunaverse.com, and Express; use `_ds` and carry it in the zip) · `MOTION-ADDENDUM-R5.md` · `OPEN-QUESTIONS-R5.md` — your sharpest disagreements with the spec, stated as alternatives with reasons, one per item. Where you disagree with v5.0, build what the spec says *and* state the disagreement; where the spec is silent, decide and flag.
